Grappling Fight Team

Vermelho BJJ is an affiliate of GFT Team which was started by highly regarded BJJ instructor Master Julio Cesar Pereira who is a 7th degree red and black belt. Julio Cesar is also the founding member and main instructor of the world famous GF Team (Grappling Fight Team) formerly known as Gama Filho Jiu Jitsu academy. Júlio has coached multiple World champions, most notably the black belt brother and sister pairing of Rodolfo and Ana (baby) Vieira. Other world champions include Jaime Canuto, Jake Mackenzie , Vitor Oliveira, Igor Silva, Ricardo Evangelista and Max Gimenis to name a few.

BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. 
KIDS & TEENS
Our program incorporates valuable lessons on and off the mat that promote confidence, self-belief and discipline.
PRIVATE TRAINING
Private Jiu-Jitsu lessons strengthen your skills and help you hone specific techniques that you learned in class.

HEAD COACH

Dean Liebenberg

Dean Liebenberg, commonly known as “Cu Vermelho” is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt (2nd Degree) under Julio Cesar, being also the founder of Vermelho BJJ on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. 

A former rugby player, Dean excelled in the sport of jiu jitsu, medalling in important international grappling events such as the Pan Pacific Championship, Pan American Championship, European Championship, Abu Dhabi World Pro and World Championship.
